Testing a photovoltaic power station is a complex process that requires multiple aspects to be inspected to ensure its performance and safety. Here are some key testing steps and methods:

 

Voltage and Current Measurement: Ensure that the voltage and current outputs from the solar panels match the expected values. This includes testing under various load conditions to confirm the stability of the power output.

 

Power Factor Analysis: Evaluate the power factor in the transmission and distribution system to ensure optimal performance.

 

EL (Electroluminescence) testing is an efficient and precise detection tool that can promptly identify and address faults in photovoltaic modules, preventing the expansion of faults and avoiding more severe losses. Through regular testing with an EL detector, power generation efficiency can be improved, and income can be increased.

 

Insulation testing is the most crucial part of the inspection for photovoltaic power stations. Conducting this test involves potential electric shock hazards; therefore, before starting any work, it is essential to fully understand the process and follow basic safety measures. The testing methods include conducting tests between the negative terminal of the array and the ground, then between the positive terminal of the array and the ground; or conducting tests between the grounding and the short-circuit positive and negative terminals of the array.
