120KV/3mA DC Hipot Tester Intelligent DC high voltage generator, the main function of this product is to output negative DC high voltage voltage, with good output voltage stability and high precision, it is an indispensable product in preventive test and DC insulation withstand voltage test. The products are widely used in preventive tests and scientific research institutes of power generation and power supply departments, power transmission and transformation engineering companies, and large factories and mines.

1. The instrument is controlled by a single-chip microcomputer, 7-inch 800*480 full-color touch configuration LCD screen, Chinese and English can be automatically switched, and the display is clear under sunlight.

2. The software can set the test voltage, protection voltage,  and test time, and the test can be completed automatically.

3. It has the functions of overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, disconnection protection, non-zero start, ground detection, and overload protection.

4. It has the functions of clock calendar display and environmental temperature and humidity detection.

5. It can store 200 sets of test data. The data can be directly printed or exported to a U disk. The data can be exported in TXT format. The data is in the form of a table and can be printed directly on the computer.

6. RS232 communication interface with high voltage isolation, which can be controlled remotely.

7. The high-end anti-shock ammeter and the host have wireless communication functions, and the data of the ammeter can be directly displayed on the host.

With automatic test, 10-step test, manual test, and zinc oxide arrester automatic test function.

9. It has the function of completing the high-voltage leakage current test of the two-section arrester with a single boost.

10. Unique capacitive test product automatic boost mode, avoiding interruption of the test due to over-current.

60-160kV equipment (0.05 kV,0.1 kV ,0.2kV ,0.5 kV ,1.0 kV ,2.0 kV ,5.0 kV )

200-350kV equipment (0.1 kV ,0.2 kV, 0.5 kV , 1.0 kV , 2.0 kV , 5.0 kV , 10 kV )

12. Wide power supply voltage input: AC165V-245V, 50-60HZ.

13. The high-voltage doubler is encapsulated by DuPont materials in an all-solid-state to avoid insulation problems caused by air and oil-filled equipment. The light-quality outer cylinder with a wide base is stable in placement and more convenient for maintenance.

14. Double ground wire protection: there is a ground wire inside the output control line to ensure the connection between the host and the high voltage to ensure the normal use of the system; there is a separate ground wire terminal on the panel of the chassis shell to ensure the safety of testers and equipment.

15. It comes with an embedded micro-printer, which is convenient for printing and recording data.

What is a DC hipot test?

Hipot tests are used for everything from very low-voltage devices to high-voltage equipment. For medium to high-voltage rotating equipment, DC hipot tests called step voltage or ramp tests are used to see whether the start of an insulation breakdown can be detected

What is the difference between AC and DC hipot?

DC hi-pot tester provides a more accurate reading of the leakage current as it only reads real current. AC hi-pot tester, on the other hand, measures total current and does not provide accurate leakage current measurement.

What is the leakage current for DC hipot?

The test waveform, whether DC or an ac sine wave is also typically specified. What constitutes a failure? Hipot test failure is when the leakage current exceeds a specified limit or rapidly increases in an uncontrolled manner, or if arcing is observed. Typical leakage current limits range from 0.5 to 20 mA.
