Precautions for operation of partial discharge tester

1. Before the test starts to pressurize, the test personnel must check the circuit in detail and comprehensively to avoid wrong connection of the circuit. Test whether the grounding wire at the instrument is firmly connected to the grounding body. If the connection is not firm or the wire is kicked off during preparation, it may cause personal and equipment accidents.
2. For connecting wires, it is necessary to avoid exposing the tip to prevent corona discharge at the tip, especially for partial discharge tests with higher voltage levels. caused by corona discharge. The shield shall not come into contact with the porcelain skirt of the test object.
3. Under normal circumstances, during the test, the partial discharge of the tested product is much larger than the normal value during the withstand voltage and pre-boost, and the meter of the instrument will inevitably exceed the full scale at this time. In order to prevent damage to the instrument, the gain coarse adjustment knob of the instrument should be rotated counterclockwise by one or more steps, so as not to exceed the full scale as the standard. When the voltage drops to the measurement voltage, turn the gain coarse adjustment switch clockwise by one or more steps to record the measured value.
