Measuring dielectric Loss is a basic method in insulation tests, which can effectively find the deterioration and dampness of insulators on electrical equipment, as well as local defects. It is widely used in electrical manufacturing, installation, handover, and preventive tests. It is the most basic way to evaluate the insulation of electric equipment by measuring the dielectric losses of its transformers, instrument transformers, reactors, capacitors, bushings, and arresters.

The Tan delta tester is an integrated structure featuring a built-in dielectric loss test bridge, variable frequency voltage regulation power supply, boost transformer, and an SF6 high-stability standard capacitor. The test high voltage source is generated by the inverter inside the instrument and is used for the test subject after being boosted by the transformer. The frequency can be changed to 50Hz, 47.5Hz/52.5Hz, 45Hz/55Hz, 60Hz, 57.5Hz/62.5Hz, 55Hz/65Hz, using digital trap technology, which avoids the interference of power frequency electric fields on the test and fundamentally solves the problem of accurate measurement under the interference of a strong electric field. At the same time, it is suitable for testing the generator power supply after all power failures. The instrument is equipped with an insulated oil cup and a temperature control device to measure the dielectric loss of insulated oil.

Multiple test modes: It can be tested by internal high voltage, external high voltage, internal standard, external standard, positive connection method, reverse connection method, self-excitation method, and other methods. High voltage (> 10kV) dielectric loss can be made under the condition of an external standard high voltage.

5. CVT test：can test CVT(capacitor voltage transformer)C1/C2 of dielectric loss and capacitance,can test C1/C2 simultaneously. Can also test CVT Variation ratio and voltage Angle difference;

6. No need to remove the high voltage cable to test CVT： can test CVT dielectric loss and capacitance with no need to remove the HV cable

7. CVT Reverse connection shielding measuring can test the dielectric loss value and capacitance value of CVT upper C0

8. high-speed sampling signal： The inverter and sampling circuit inside the instrument are all controlled digitally, and the output voltage is continuously adjustable.

9. LCR full auto test： Automatic display of inductance, capacitance, resistance measurement, and Angle.

10. Multiple protection features, such as input voltage fluctuation, high voltage current, output short circuit, power supply fault, overvoltage, overcurrent, and temperature, etc., to ensure the safety and reliability of the instrument. also equipped with a grounding detection function to ensure that the ungrounded equipment does not allow voltage boost.
